“The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore, my heart greatly rejoices ,And with my song I will praise Him.”(Psalm 28:7)

Our world is full of troubles, trials and tribulations. God is our only real source of safety and peace. Instead of running helter-skelter, we should be like David who wrote this Psalm. He acknowledges that our best help is from the Lord and remain consistent in prayer and communion with Him. The Lord is:                   

(a)my strength–I am strong because I have the Lord. I know that my God is all- powerful and present to guide me through my weaknesses and failures; and lighten the dark paths I must walk through with courage and grace;                                        

(b) my shield–I know that God is my protection against danger;

He safeguards me and bounces away the arrows of wickedness directed at me.

ACTION: As we trust and praise the Lord, He helps us at such a time as this!                       

PRAYER: Lord, we acknowledge You as our Strength and Shield.
