“And it came to pass as she continued praying before Jehovah, that Eli marked her mouth. Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard; and Eli thought she was drunken.”(1 Samuel 1:12-13)

“Do all this in prayer, asking for God’s help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God’s people.”(Ephesians 6:18)

ACTION: Be focused and distinguish yourself. Do what Hannah did – pray fervently until you know that God has answered. Make a vow only if you feel led! Hannah listened and obeyed: “The Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says to the people, ‘Come back and quietly trust in me. Then you will be strong and secure.’” (Isaiah 30:15a)

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for the tests of life that give rise to testimonies. Please Lord, we come to You with fervent, desperate cries over personal and national issues that provoke us to bitter tears, misery and inability to eat like Hannah. Please answer us as you answered Hannah. Jesus saves!
