“. . . .and there I saw coming from the east the dazzling light of the presence of the God of Israel.” (Ezekiel 43:2 GNT)
The high point of our Christianity is that we celebrate God-made-flesh in Jesus Christ for our salvation. God appeared in His glory to Ezekiel and declared out of His temple: “here is my throne, I will live here among the people of Israel and rule over them forever.” Alleluia! We are now that temple, in which God lives and rules forever. However, God is holy, He brooks no compromise and has no tolerance for short cuts. This means that while He desires fellowship with us and manifests His glory in and through us, remaining a temple in which He can dwell necessitates our purity, righteousness and appropriate reverence for Him.
ACTION: How will you rate your awareness and respect for the holiness and presence of God in you? We are the temple of God!
PRAYER: We receive the power of the Holy Spirit to be a ready temple of our Holy God at such a time as this.
