FRAGRANCE OF THE ROSES – 22 APRIL

22 APRIL

THE DEAD WILL RISE AGAIN

So, when he heard that Lazarus was ill, he stayed two days longer in the place where he was.  (John 11:6)

For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie.

If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.  (Habakkuk 2:3)

You may have prayed, asked, knocked and cried in the place of prayers but your expected answers have not come forth. Two days, two months, two years, two decades and your expected answer still seems to elude you? Like Martha, can you tell Jesus that you know that His will is incontrovertible? (John11:21–22). God’s calendar may be different from our expectations.

Martha mourned the loss of her brother which she thought was irreversible in this world because Jesus was not on physically with them when it happened. When Christ said to her, Your brother will rise again, (John11:23) she thought it was a Word for resurrection but miraculously it was for this life. Many things we experience and words we read in Scriptures and say sometimes, may be deeper than we think. God works in mysterious ways. Jesus spoke the Word and Lazarus who had been dead for four days was raised to life on earth and more importantly will rise eternally. God is all powerful and there is nothing too hard for him but all shall happen in his time, in his own way. He alone has all the answers. Whatever He does is the best that can be! Jesus is saying to us today: Every situation that seems dead in your life will rise again!

ACTION: Be persistent in prayer. Don’t give up, don’t be discouraged. Pray to understand and know God’s will. Trust and obey.

PRAYER: I desire to know you more, Lord Jesus. I believe and trust in your timing and goodness, Oh Lord.
