WHEN GOD SPEAKS

“Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light”  (Genesis 1:3)

When God speaks, light comes and darkness disappears. Darkness cannot withstand light. Light can be an insight, an idea, a method or a solution to a problem, challenge or a process in the normal course of work or the day.

We should note that God uses processes. He created the earth in an orderly way, He spoke and created light, then heaven and earth, followed by land separate from seas, then the plants. The plants had need for light, water, land and all the others created before them.

Jesus is the Light of the world. Wherever He is, there is light. God made us in His image. He listens to our prayers. He cares and He intervenes in our situations. The Lord is always speaking to us and He expects us to speak to Him. “Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in my hearing, so I will do to you.” (Numbers 14:28).

God created us with the unique privilege to communicate with Him. When we speak in prayer, in our God–given authority, with faith and confidence, light comes! When we release the light of God, darkness flees.

ACTION: Allow God to speak into your heart; then speak the light of the Word of God into any dark area of your life or any loved one! Expect an insight, an idea, a method or a solution!

PRAYER: Lord, I believe your Word–let there be light all around me!
