26 MARCH

WHEN GOD SPEAKS (2)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

When God speaks, an ordinary man becomes extraordinary! I found President Obama’s photographs–apparently on a visit to Kenya as a youth–quite interesting; especially the one in which he was carrying a sack. I imagined that when the world’s most powerful president had to carry that heavy sack, he must have wondered what his future would hold. God alone knew!

God alone knows and speaks our “tomorrow”. Please enjoy with me the reminiscence of this 1956 academy award winning best original written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans but made even more popular by Doris Day:

 “Que Sera, Sera”

1When I was just a little girl I asked my mother What will I be Will I be pretty Will I be rich Here’s what she said to me2When I grew up and fell in love I asked my sweetheart What lies ahead Will we have rainbows Day after day Here’s what my sweetheart said
Chorus:  Que sera, sera Whatever will be, will be The future’s not ours to see Que sera, sera What will be, will be3Now I have children of my own They ask their mother What will I be Will I be handsome Will I be rich I tell them tenderly

ACTION: Decide to work towards God’s purpose with diligence.

PRAYER: Father in heaven, help me to fully trust in your purpose for my life.
