7 MARCH

JEHOVAH, OUR HEALER (4)

“When Elisha arrived, the child was indeed dead, lying there on the prophet’s bed. He went in alone and shut the door behind him and prayed to the Lord… And as he stretched out on him, the child’s body began to grow warm again! Elisha got up, walked back and forth across the room once, and then stretched himself out again on the child. This time the boy sneezed seven times and opened his eyes!” (2 Kings 4:32–35, NLT)

The dead child was restored to life through the prayers of Elisha. That precious child, which had been born after many years of barrenness, might have remained dead if Elisha had not prayed.

But was it Elisha who raised the child or was it the anointing of God in his life? Is the anointing still available? Can you and I have this same anointing in this present time? Are we using the gifts of God in our lives? Wouldn’t you rather pray for the sick, so that one–just one–person may receive healing than let that feeling of inadequacy and fear of failure deprive someone of their healing?

You can even start with yourself. Lay hands on that pain and pray with faith. You or I are not the healer. Jehovah God is the Healer.

ACTION: Pray for the sick around you in faith and leave the healing to Jehovah Rapha.

PRAYER: Father God, grant me the grace to obey you completely by praying for the sick anytime, anywhere.
